Hunter Packaging Refresh
The challenge:
Hunter updated their visual and brand guidelines complete with new colors and direction. The previous packaging had become outdated and cluttered, not reflective of the new sleek design and overall look Hunter was wanting.
Many of the elements had lost meaning such as the scorecards that had colors that no longer correlated with the technology of the fan model. A more minimal, direct, and thoughtful design was required to relate to the new branding.
The solution:
Hunter’s packaging had to be adaptable for new technology and developed iconography. Inspired from the previous design the refreshed packaging allows an emphasis of visual hierarchy between the three main technologies Hunter has developed.
With Simpleconnect and WeatherMax being the highest priority of technology, SureSpeed has focus in the lower corner of the packaging to establish that it is an additional feature. The scorecard is simplified down, removing the clutter of icons and color confusion regarding the ‘Classic’, ‘Designer’, and ‘Masterpiece.’
The side panel has a cleaner and visually accessible breakdown of ideal room locations and features that come with each model. A lifestyle room scene was added to show the fans interacting with an environment rather than floating, superimposed into a space. The packaging is far more flexible and adaptable to information changes while having a new, approachable design.
